Roger Williams Botanical Garden

The award winning Botanical Garden at Roger Williams Park is designed to be a special place within the historical context of the park. The Master Plan provides a framework for the public to learn and enjoy plants of all kinds. When completed, it will provide a series of distinct gardens showing various habitats and experiences. Completed gardens include the Winter Garden, which provides interest in all seasons, the Rose Maze, and the Hillside and Step Gardens. The Terrace Garden consists of a massive boulder water feature, custom designed benches and semi-tropical plantings. The Summer Garden, with a large collection of flowering perennials, will be completed in spring 2010. RI ASLA Merit Award 2009.
